2. Eat Avocados: They are packed full with fiber, which helps you feel full faster, and stay full for a longer period of time, they also are high in healthy fats. Avocados can act as an alternative to higher calorie condiments such as Mayonnaise, and you can experiment with many different recipes.
3. The Internet: If you are trying to lose weight, utilize the useful and abundant information on the Internet! Be active on weight loss forums and interact with fitness and weight loss bloggers. It’s a great way to learn about new diets and workouts and will help you stay motivated.
4. Cheat Day: Give yourself a cheat day once a week or month whatever works for you. Some experts don’t agree with this method. I however, feel that it gives you some wiggle room and allows you to indulge without feeling guilty.
5. Shopping List: Never go grocery shopping without a list. Make you healthy shopping list in advance packed full of healthy leans meats, fresh fruits and veggies, and healthy snacks.
6. Eat your meats: Protein is an important part of your weight loss plan. Lean meats legumes, and nuts are wonderful sources. Protein helps you to grow and repair muscle. It is also quickly burned by your body. Your goal should be about one gram of protein for every pound you weigh.
7. Monitor your heart rate: A good way to help you lose weight is to invest in a heart rate monitor. The effectiveness of the cardio you do depends on your heart rate. With a heart rate monitor, you can insure that your heart rate is in the best zone for your goals. You want to burn the optimal amount of calories in the time you have allotted staying in your target heart rate zone will do this.
8. Eliminate Excess Sugar: A great weight loss tip for people trying to shed a few pounds is to sprinkle some cinnamon on your fruits to give them a sweeter taste instead of sugar. It will make your fruits seem like more of a dessert than a healthy snack and it is really good for you. Cut out sodas and fruit juices instead drink unsweetened tea or water.
9. Create Healthy Snacks: Find a healthy substitute for something you just have to have. You have a strong weakness for candy bars, and don’t want to give up that daily dose of chocolate? Try a handful of roasted almonds and a few dark chocolate morsels. Sugar free Jello with a spoon of whipped cream, or fresh fruit and whipped cream.
Make plans to exercise 5-6 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes and apply these tips to your weight loss and fitness plan and you will be on your way to achieving a healthy weight and fitness goals.
